Another road explored

Finally the weather has calmed down and is appropriate for the month of May. After a long time I met David for a bike ride, Pavel was very busy so he couldn't ride with us.

The route was a classic loop with one new thing that Romča discovered from afar the other day. I like new routes, so we will try it. In Mariánské Údolí we took the yellow hiking trail in the direction of Vrábl. Around a house called Drápalova samota to Pohořany, then to Jívová. On the way, just after Jívová, Pavel called and said he'd catch up with us. He had to pedal like crazy. We waited for him for a while at the crossroads in Hraničné Petrovice. Within ten minutes Pavel caught up with us, a little out of breath and sweating. You could see in his face that he was happy with how quickly he had arrived.

The group is complete and we can move on. Down the hill from Petrovice we ride in Brian Safa style. The sun is already low, casting long shadows through the trees, and the light is divine! Těšíkov and another long downhill, I get my camera ready and at 50km/h I take pictures of the guys speeding down the hill, in the background is a view of Olomouc and almost all of Haná. I really enjoy these descents.

We pass through Domašov and after the big dung heap we enter the forest and discover a new road. The old forest road has seen better times, something between an asphalt and dirt road. At the edge of the forest we get a view of Olomouc and a long dirt road down through the field along the forest. The sun is already low and the forest casts a shadow. The boys ride down the road, their bikes kicking up dust in the air. I watch, take pictures as they disappear into the distance. In my mind I put the trail on a list to come back in better light and document it properly.

An incredible time of exploring!

David and Pavel are waiting for me at the bottom of the hill. Now it's just a matter of the last few kilometers and, above all, a well-deserved beer in Bar Zahrada.
