Slunečná
At the end of March there was a nice warm weather window which we decided to take advantage of (before the winter hits one more time, unfortunately). The need for a warm sun beams was huge after cold winter so we hopped on our bikes and went for a ride. Our goal was to reach a hill called Slunečná.
We chose a classic lap against a stream of river Bystřice which consists of two parts, pavement and then gravel until you arrive to Domašov nad Bystřicí.
The river Bystřice floats through a very beautiful valley we ourselves call “Hrubá Voda Valley”. I’m sure there’s a different name but we call this way. This is one of the nicest places that you can easily reach by bike from Olomouc.
Once we had a pit stop at the local grocery store we set off for a next part. Primo crunchy gravel with a great views until the next town.
Moravský Beroun, a weird town, no offence. It just has a strange vibe.
Leaving the city of Moravský Beroun takes you into the barren area full of stumps and occasional lonely standing tree. Despite this kinda sad look this area is filled with gravel roads that make your mouths wider, from ear to ear.
Reaching the top of the hill Slunečná is fairly easy if you choose the right road–there are so many. Next, there is another part of forest roads that are more than suitable for gravel riding. I have never met anyone here, either on a bike or on foot. It’s kinda tucked away from main roads so maybe that’s why no one is here.
Dalov, a tiny village situated on a hill with a smooth tarmac winding down a hill which is very nice to ride down.
We finished the ride at our favourite watering hole. Pivnice na Rampě!
